Karen Rubera

Karen Rubera is a Sri Lankan accountant, lawyer and entrepreneur redefining how businesses approach operational efficiency and outsourcing. As Founder and Managing Director of Rightvantage, she combines legal insight, financial expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit to deliver bespoke business support and outsourcing services across Sri Lanka, Australia and Canada.
With over 15 years of cross-disciplinary experience, Karen is one of Sri Lanka's few professionals equally grounded in law, finance and corporate governance — a background that makes her a trusted advisor to clients seeking integrated financial, legal and compliance solutions.
She began her career in corporate finance and risk management as Assistant Manager – Risk & Control at Rainco (Pvt) Ltd, a CA Sri Lanka-accredited training partner, focusing on internal controls, transparency and governance. She later joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), where she serves as Manager – Legal and Public Information Officer, overseeing regulatory compliance, policy implementation and information transparency.
Driven by her entrepreneurial vision, Karen founded Rightvantage to transform how businesses manage back-office functions — blending her experience as both an Attorney-at-Law and a Chartered Accountant to deliver legal, financial and corporate outsourcing solutions that streamline operations and boost business performance.
Karen's passion lies in empowering businesses to grow smarter, combining grit, innovation and strategic problem-solving to deliver results that go beyond compliance and cost-saving. Through Rightvantage, she is helping build Sri Lanka's reputation as a centre of excellence for outsourcing and business innovation — mentoring professionals and connecting global clients with Sri Lankan expertise.
Gayan Senanayake

Gayan was previously an Associate Director in KPMG's Advisory practice, with experience across Forensic, Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance and Tax in both Sri Lanka and the Maldives — working across energy, banking, financial services, manufacturing, tourism and retail.
His engagements have included leading risk-based internal audit assignments, SOX compliance reviews for multinational companies, business process documentation for leading pharmaceutical and industrial groups, and advisory work for Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Economics and Planning on the Rose Water Development Project.
At Rightvantage, Gayan leads business advisory engagements — helping clients strengthen internal controls, manage risk, and build the processes that support sustainable growth.
